From Vintage to Fashion Photo shoot

This was a fun photo shoot where I didn’t have to be shy with the make-up. Taking the look from Vintage to Fashion/Editorial involved some facial contouring and high lighting. I used a Mac Powder blush called ‘Taupe’ to contour and Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in called ‘soft and gentle’ to hightlight. On the eyes I used Bobbi Brown eyeshadow called ‘Cocoa’ and then a Mac Pigment called ‘Blue Brown’ over the top and blended around the eyes – this is one of my favourites!

Editorial Make-up and Hair

I’m posting some images shot in Egypt a while ago. BA high life did an Editorial and used one of the under water pictures on their front cover. We also had front covers on Cunard Euphoria, Professional Photographer, Pride Magazine and Dive International.

It looks sunny in many of the shots, but there was a cold wind and the trip was quite challenging – but good fun! I had a free reign to be as creative as the time and conditions would allow. For one of the underwater shots I had to apply a bald cap and cover the model in silver body paint!

The Photographer was Candice Farmer who has gone on to have a hugely successful career as a fashion photograp her.
